For the first time ever, AgeWell Services is participating in the Subaru Share the Love! If you can’t tell, we’re just a little excited! We hope this blog post answers any questions you might have!
What is Subaru Share the Love?
If you purchase or lease a new Subaru between November 16, 2023 – January 2, 2024 through a participating Subaru retailer, you can choose between four national nonprofits and / or a hometown charity (a local nonprofit) to receive a minimum of $300. How cool is that?!
By the end of the 2023 Subaru Share the Love Event, Subaru of America, Inc. and participating Subaru retailers will have donated more than $285 million to four national nonprofits and hometown charities. Meals on Wheels America is one of the national nonprofits Subaru of America, Inc. partners with. The impact of this partnership is tremendous! Since inception in 2008, Subaru and participating Subaru retailers have donated more than 4.3 million meals and helped provide friendly visits for older adults being served by local Meals on Wheels programs across the United States. Learn more about the impact here.
Why Can’t I Choose AgeWell Services as the Charity of Choice?
Great question!
Subaru of America, Inc. supports four national nonprofits. These include ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation. More information about all of these nonprofits can be found through the Subaru Share the Love event site here.
Additionally, each Subaru retailer can also partner with a local nonprofit, a hometown charity, to receive additional funds outside of the four national nonprofits. You can learn more about the hometown charities chosen by participating Subaru retailers through this link.
While AgeWell Services isn’t a hometown charity with any participating Michigan Subaru retailers, we are a member of Meals on Wheels America. As a member, we’re able to participate in this fantastic event. Once Subaru Share the Love ends, AgeWell Services will receive a portion of the proceeds from Subaru Share the Love donated to Meals on Wheels America.
