The SafeSeniors collaborative works to identify, advocate, and seek justice for adult victims of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation within the Muskegon, Ottawa and Oceana counties of Michigan.
The SafeSeniors team is committed to:
- Educating law enforcement, health care providers, financial institutions, older adults and the general population regarding elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation by providing educational workshops, issuing scam alerts, and promoting awareness through social media and other avenues.
- Advocating for policies and programs that ensure the safety of older adults.
- Investigating and prosecuting perpetrators of these crimes to seek justice for victims.
