Participation and Eligibility

What are Senior Community Activities?

These programs offer opportunities to stay active, learn something new and connect with others in the community.

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate, but the activities are designed for adults age 60 and older.

Cost and Donations

Is there a cost to participate?

Many activities are offered at no cost thanks to support from the Muskegon County Senior Millage. Some activities, such as Community Exercise Classes at Berkshire, have a suggested donation. Donations are always welcome.

Where do activities take place?

Activities are offered at Lunch & Activity Centers and various partner locations throughout Oceana, Muskegon and Ottawa counties.

Getting Started

How do I register for Senior Community Activities?

Complete our Program Registration Form or contact AgeWell Services at (231) 755-0434 to complete a short registration over the phone. If you’ve already registered for a Lunch & Activity Center, you don’t need to re-register for Senior Community Activities.

For Family and Caregivers

Can I attend with my loved one?

Many programs welcome participation from family members and caregivers. Call (231) 755-0434 to learn if there is a cost if 59 and younger.

Why are these programs important?

Activities support physical health, mental well-being and social connection, all essential for aging well.
